Ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene pipe (UHMWPE pipe) is a kind of polyethylene pipe with UHMWPE engineering thermoplastics with more than 2 million viscosity-average molecular weight, under the polymerization of ethylene, butadiene monomer in the catalyst. UHMWPE pipe has the superior performance such as very high wear resistance, i***ct resistance, excellent resistance to internal pressure strength, resistance to environmental stress cracking, eminent self-lubricating, anti-adhesion, the unique low temperature resistance, good chemical stability and so on, and it is widely used in metallurgical mines, electric power, petroleum, natural gas, textiles, paper making, food, chemical industry, machinery, electrical and other industries.
1. Extremely high wear resistance
UHMWPE pipe has 2 million or more molecular weight, the smallest wear index, which makes it have a very high capacity of anti-sliding friction. Its wear resistance is 6.6 times higher than normal alloy steel, 27.3 times that of stainless steel, 17.9 times that of phenolic resin, 6 times that of nylon 6, 4 times that of polyethylene, and it increases the life of the pipeline substantially.
2. Very high i***ct resistance
Of the existing engineering plastics, the value of the i***ct toughness of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene pipe is the highest, and many materials will crack, break, split or surface stress fatigue in the explosion of serious or repeated i***ct.
